Vash goes to Augusta City where he clears out the town getting ready for a showdown with Legato.  Instead he is met with two Gung Ho Guns members.  After battling E G Mine and Rai-Dai the Blade, someone somehow causes Vash to enable one of his weapons he'd rather keep concealed.  The results is mass devastation to the town and a new hole in one of the moons.  As a result, Milly and Meryl are pulled from the case since the insurance company will no longer be involved with anything having to do with Vash the Stampede.
