Lyar is laid up from her crossing the dimensions too much and so Kiri is sent to Japan in 1936 where another Ghoul has been detected.  Lyar gives her a warning before she goes about Misaki.  Kiri meets up with Misaki and learns that she is attempting to change the course of time so that Watcher's Nest isn't destroyed - or at least so that Luxandra doesn't die.
