Lyar travels into feudal Japan around the year 1594.  She and Kotoko land about 80 kilometers from her goal and so she must walk.  She meets up with a man who helps her on her way.  She learns that he is on a mission to assassinate the governor who has a mysterious shadow helper.  Lyar, who is seeing strange images of a young Misaki, must dispatch the Ghoul before her new friend is killed.
