While Bernard leaves, Ertiana heads down to rescue Misaki.  She is taken to the hospital for recovery.  She later learns more about the dead in the Core from Jean Luc.  He shows her the dead bodies that are still active in some way and the original ship that went into the Core.  She continues to undergo test that appear to trigger changes within her.
