Bernard gets Misaki to help him hack into files in order to learn more of what's going on there.  They decide that they must go to the Core in order to see what happened to the crew that went down there years ago.  This crew happens to have had Misaki's father in it.  Misaki holds off the mysterious suited figures while Bernard gets his data.  She is surrounded by them and she learns that they are piloted by the dead bodies of the original crew.  She seems to hear her father's voice among those in the suits.
