A fight is underway at an Inflation Hole between humans in remotes fighting Ghouls.  Kotoko is destroyed by a Ghoul while Lyar and Kiri are put out of commission.  Misaki, who had problems synching, joins the battle in order to rescue them.  When confronted by the Ghoul, she herself turns into a Ghoul-like being a defeats it.  When this is over, Prim and Jean-Luc discuss what happened as a weary Misaki is removed from her remote device.
