While in jail, one of the prisoners turns into a strange machine and tries to get at Masane.  She has a glowing light on her wrist that turns her into something which allows her to easily dispatch the creature.  Meanwhile, Rihoko has escaped from Child Welfare and gets a photographer named Tozawa to help her get to her mother.  He takes her to his office/home where the landlady says that she can stay the night but that she must go back to Child Welfare in the morning.
