Soreto finally arrives to tell this children about Helga.  Before they can do anything about it they see a strange explosion.  Detective Cooks and Alive learn that a man named Kirchner has abducted his little sister from where the explosion took place.  Kirchner has become an old man and has taken his sister to a hiding place.  The children arrive also and discover that the explosion was caused by Orsel - something that should only exist in the Zone.  The children try to talk to Kirchner but GED forces arrive before the can help him.  The GED forces shoot to kill while the children try to save his sister.  Before he dies he emits another Orsel blast and then disappears.  Cooks and Alice arrive to see the children running from the house.  As they children flee, they see Dumas apparently in charge of the operation for GED.
