The Basroil heads out with its squadron into Plane Space to meet the six possible enemy ships.  Lafiel is apprehensive and Jinto Lin talks to her about how this seems similar to what happened to the Gosroth.  When they begin to enter battle, Lafiel realises that she feels more at ease and silently wonders if that is why Jinto wanted to be a part of her crew.  They enter the space-time sphere of the enemy and battle is engaged.  They score a hit on the ship but do little damage.  The enemy targets them and they are given permission to exit the battle field temporarily to escape the mines.  Just barely escaping, they return to the fight just as things are wrapping up.
