Naota's life returns to normal with Haruko and Canti's disappearance.  Naota want to move on with Mamimi but is rejected, she can't handle the new found confidence in him.  When Haruko reappears at his house Naota finds out that she wants something and that he is instrumental in her getting it.  Naota realizes that he has feelings for Haruko and is willing to do what he can for her.  Amarao warns that all Haruko wants is to free Atomsk from Medical Mechanica which could cause the downfall of humankind.
