From "About the Author" in Prime Time:
Mike Tucker is an effects designer with the BBC Visual Effects department. He has worked on a wide variety of television programmes including Red Dwarf, 999, Casualty and, of course, Doctor Who. His writing career began with the behind-the-scenes book Ace!, which he co-wrote with Sophie Aldred, and he has subsequently written three Doctor Who novels with long-time writing partner Robert Perry. Prime Time is his first solo writing project.
From "About the Authors" in Short Trips:
Robert Perry and Mike Tucker met at a comprehensive school in South Wales in 1977, and started writing together shortly afterwards. Now that people have actually started to commission them, they have decided to live on opposite sides of London. They have written for Marvel and Virgin and their Doctor Who novel, Illegal Alien, was published by BBC Books in 1997. Their next novel is Doctor Who: Matrix, to be published in late 1998. In their 'solo' careers Mike is an effects designer for the BBC and co-author of Ace! with Sophie Aldred, and Robert has written for, and toured with, veteran rock band The Enid.
