   Dolly the Sheep Born
Dolly the sheep was born at the Roslin Institute in Scotland.  She was the first mammal successfully cloned from an adult cell.  She was code-named "6LL3" and later named after Dolly Parton - supposedly when someone that assisted with her birth learned that the animal was cloned from a mammary cell.
