Speed recovers from his mishap but still the gang is after him.  They even take out Trixie's airplane and use her as hostage.  He and Dougry, recovering from a near volcano accident, must deal with the gang in order to return to the race.  Speed smashes the windshield in order to keep the plans from falling into the wrong hands.  He's able to finish the race in first place but the gang of black cars invalidates it and there is no money awarded.
