Ginko comes to an island searching for a certain kind of mushi but the locals aren't very forthcoming.  He is looking at the lights in the sea when a woman approaches and tells him about them.  She says that her mother was sick and she was dumped into the sea before she died so that she could be reborn as her daughter's daughter.  She asks Ginko's help in determining if her daughter is human or not.
