Ginko comes to a village where there is a mountain with a hole in it.  The men of the village want him to find out about the god of the mountain since they are forbidden to go there.  They ask him to find Mujika who has disappeared.  He finds a boy on the mountain that is Mujika's apprentice and, when he finally finds Mujika, he discovers that the man has taken over the role of god of the mountain.  He also learns that the mantle has taken its toll on the man and that he is in the process of summoning a mushi to take his place.
