Shiki awakes in Arcueid's room and she wants to know how it was that he killed her.  He tells her about the lines that he sees and that, if he breaks them, the things that they are attacked to break also.  He also reveals that his glasses somehow keep him from seeing the lines.  Arihiko calls Akiha to see if he's alright since he didn't come to school and Akiha begins to worry more.  Shiki agrees to help Arcueid and that night she uses herself as bait so that Shiki can cut his lines and kill him.  Things don't go as planned and he has Arcueid nearly defeated when Shiki is able to break free from the wolves and kill him.
