Several Ghoul appear in the Core and, since the laser defense is still inoperable, everyone is sent into combat.  Misaki, having sole-searched, goes into combat as the front line.  She is able to destroy the Ghoul and it is discovered that she has a microchip implanted in her that allows he moods to be controlled.  Meanwhile, Prim confronts Woerns about her plan to evacuate the Watcher's Nest but the cost will be its destruction.
