The cadets' training continues in the Watcher's Nest and Misaki has a hard time keeping up with the others.  During a live round firning range session, however, she out performs them all.  Some of the crew appear to not be surprised by this.  Later, in another training mission, Misaki is thrown into the Core when her thrusters fail to operate.  She is attacked by several suited beings before Lyar can rescue her.  She is again sworn to secrecy about what she's seen.
