Ranmaru Shindou lives with his sister Saya and is graduating from the Police Academy as a detective.  He is plagued by terrible dreams that relate to his survival from a horrible massacre at an apartment complex that left his parents dead.  Now a part of a special division within the police force called Tokki, he becomes involved with some terrible crimes.  His job puts him in contract with Tokko, a special section within his division that deals with strange happenings.
