Re-l discovers some shady things going on between the police and the Information Bureau.  Meanwhile Vincent arrives at his office to find Dorothy, an AutoReiv, dead and the cops are now after him.  He runs.  Re-l returns to her apartment that was destroyed without Iggy and finds a pendant that was worn by Vincent.  She continues to call him but there's no answer.  Vincent is on the run and he picks up an AutoReiv named Pico - one that he had just checked out the other day for infection and who was also at the mall during the massacre.  She now appears to be infected with the Cogito virus.  Re-l finally gets in touch with Vincent and meets him at the plug vent to ask him about the pendant and why he's in trouble.  The cops arrive shortly after and Pico opens the vent to the outside.  Vincent and Pico leave the domed city.
