Yukito dreams of his mother and him on a beach and she tells him about the girl with wings.  She tells him about her dreams and how she will die after her final dream.  Misuzu has awakened but is too weak.  She wants to go to the beach and Yukito tries to get her there but she can't make it.  As she get worse, Yukito decides to leave her so that she can get better.  At the bus station he has another vision of his mother telling him that she can be saved but he must use the hope left in his puppet from her and her mother and pour his soul into it to do so.  He gets the help of several children in order to make his show more entertaining.  He then heads back to Misuzu but the new stuff doesn't work.  He wishes he could just go back in time and make things right.
