It has been awhile since the Red Shield headquarters sank and Riku was killed.  Saya has been missing all this time.  Kai and Lewis keep up the fight in London while David drowns his woes in alcohol.  They are staying at the house of a man who taught George and who is now a foster parent to some kids homeless from war.  Kai holds on to his faith that Saya will return.
