Detective Cooks visits a woman whose son went missing dix years ago.  He is investigating several children that went missing about the same time and seems to have an idea that they are related to some children in a photograph.  The photograph is over a hundred years old though.  Helga and Chitto arrive by train on the mainland and people from the orphanage meet them there and sent back to Chikao.  With this incident, Chitto is scheduled to be sent to a new orphanage.  Tohma is out in his boat in the weather when a speed boat nearly runs him over.  The boats that is transporting Chitto however is not so lucky.  The speedboat crashes into the island and Tohma goes overboard.  Tohma arrives to see the damage when Chitto asks him from the water to help him escape and to get Helga.
