Hikari winds up staying at Takeru's aunt and uncle's house where Takeru stays since his parents died.  When Takeru's cousin Sumie finds him on the floor outside his room, she discovers who's been sleeping in there.  Word spreads fast about the girl.  When everyone learns that she's an alien from outerspace, they all take her in and make clothes for her out of some that Sumie doesn't ever wear.  Meanwhile there is an investigation team at the site where the bug was killed headed by Jennifer Portman.
