Lil' Slugger, a second year student in junior high named Makoto Kozuka, begins his confession in police custody to Mitsuhiro and Keiichi.  While he tells his tale, he creates a fantasy world in his own mind incorporating the two detectives into it.  He tells them that he is a Holy Warrior devoted to destroying Gohma.  He can see the red glow of Gohma and must defeat him, yet he continues to return more powerful each time.  Mitsuhiro realizes that this is all a part of a game book that Makoto had with him.  Part of this tale relates to the Ancient Master which gives the detectives the idea that they need to interview the old homeless lady in the area that Tsukiko was attacked.
