Yukari is late for class and worried that her principal will be mad.  On top of that, her chain has come off on her bike.  When a student stops to help, she steals his bike and heads to school.  After arriving in the wrong class, Yukari get the right room and introduces Chiyo-chan, the ten-year-old child who has started high school due to her intelligence.  Sakaki is a quit girl who loves cats, she tried to pet one on the way to school and it bit her.  Everyone thinks she got in a fight when they see her bandages.  Ayumu Kasuga transfers from Osaka and, having been told that she's a little spacey, decides now is the time to get it together.
