The Blue discover the refugees and use their cocooning fluids to build a bridge to them.  The remainder of the team set up to defend themselves and the refugees.  Yuji and Marlene are to only survivors with the commander who is mortally wounded.  Yuji watches helplessly as the Blue kill Yung.  The commander takes explosives and tells Yuji and Marlene that he'll help them escape.  When all is over, Yuji can't believe Marlene's cold attitude toward the deaths of her colleagues.
