Sai awakens and is able to overpower Mick and take off to find Jiyu.  Meanwhile, Mikage shows Ayunosuke to Jiyu trying to get a response out of her.  Kita over hears them and then Sai finds them.  He tells Jiyu that she must make her own decision and that he would support her in it.  She hugs Ayunosuke and he turns back into a little boy and then she takes he eyepatch from him.  Later, Mikage shows up outside the cave where the white-Jubei is holding the Siberian Yagyu hostage.  When Mikage steps aside, Jubei is standing there and she tells the white-Jubei that she will lose because of the shadow on her heart.  Kita realises that this is the real Jubei since this is what he told him many years ago.  They begin to fight.
