Chronologically episode 4.  Kyon arrives for a meeting with a person who left him an anonymous note.  He discovers that is is Ryoko, another student.  Ryoko tells him that Haruhi is not acting proactively and so she wants to kill Kyon to see the effect is has on her.  Yuki arrives and save Kyon from Ryoko, who happens to be Yuki's backup.  Later, Kyon gets another message and meets up with a future version of Mikuru who tells him to remember Snow White when things get bad.  She also tells him about a star-shaped mole that she has that he evidently told her about in her past.
