The TARDIS materializes in Cornwall in the 17th century.  Pirates are searching for hidden treasure.  The Doctor is kidnapped by Captain Pike, the pirate, and his men after they discover that he has learned something of the location to the treasure.  The Doctor eventually tells Captain Pike how to find the treasure.  The militia arrive and a fight starts.  Captin Pike and many of his men are killed.  The Doctor and his companions escape in the TARDIS.
