This episode starts off with scenes of a strange new land. Makoto finds himself on top of a guard whom he has evidently knocked unconscious as he fell from the sky. A second guard is about to attack when Nanami and Ura fall on his shoulders and knock him out as well. The first guard awakens and attacks Makoto when Ura forms a shield around him and breaks the large axe. Nanami's guard stands and eventually they are taken prisoner by more guards and Gilda. They have evidently arrived in the kingdom of Cretaria.

When they realize that they came from the sky they are taken away and sent to the castle. When they arrive they are greeted by Dal Narcis III, the Emperor of Cretaria. They find out that there is at least one other woman that has arrived similarly to them. They are lead to a bedroom where Qawoor appears to be sleeping.

Makoto explains how they got there and the Emperor asks Gilda what she thinks. She believes that they are all spies (what else?). The Emperor, however, believes that they may be able to help them and in exchange he will help them to get home. He takes them deep into the castle and shows them what he calls the Wellspring of Life, a dimensional reactor. It is an ancient machine created before records and the Cretarians use it to power their city. Makoto thinks that the destruction of the creators of the reactor was caused by the Eye of God. The Spring of Life is dying and the Emperor wants them to use their powers to revive it.

Qawoor awakens to find herself in a strange place. Makoto and Nanami find themselves in a library guarded. Nanami is frightened of what these people are going to do to them and Makoto is worried that they won't be able to get back to El Hazard.

The Emperor has decided that he is in love with Qawoor and dresses up to go see her but she has wandered off to examine the castle.

Ura distracts the guard and Nanami and Makoto escape. After nearly running into a contingent of guards, they find Qawoor. The Emperor sees the hugging scene is distraught and acts like a child.

We now join Katsuhiko and Groucho in the snow as the find Shayla.
