It is revealed that the Phantom Tribe are from another dimension, just as Makoto and the others are.  As they begin the process of powering up the Eye once again Makoto and Nanami (who can see through the Phantom Tribes illusions) defeat Lord Galus.  Ifurita goes into the Eye and gives Makoto the staff so that they will have a link.  Makoto uses his abilities to deactivate the Eye but Ifurita is sent 10000 years into the past into the Makoto's dimension where she awaits meeting him for the "first time".  She wanders around the school grounds and then, outside, Makoto appears in front of her, evidently discovering how to control the Eye of God.
