Spike is now incorporeal and linked to LA.  Angel and the gang are somewhat dismayed that they can't get rid of him.  Meanwhile, Lorne and Angel call a stop to the department at Wolfram & Hart that provides corpses to a necromancer.  When he becomes angry, Angel decides to visit him, with Spike tagging along.  When Angel and company sieze the necromancer's assets, he offers Spike a deal to make him corporeal in Angel's body if he turns on Angel.  It appears that Spike agrees but he turns the tide on the necromancer during the transference.  Later Spike asks Fred about helping him regain physical form.
