When Buffy discovers that a vampire she recently killed was sired by Spike, she follows him to find out what he's been up to.  Apparently Spike has been on a spree while under the influence of the First.  Meanwhile Giles pays a visit to a Watcher friend only to find that he's been fatally wounded as one of the eyeless Bringers sneaks up behind him with an axe.
