The Trio test a charm that will make people into slaves.  They use it on Warren's ex-girlfriend and, when she wakes from the spell, they accidentally kill her.  The Trio plan to pin the blame on Buffy and set it up to look like she killed her.  Buffy, thinking that she killed a human by mistake, heads to the police station.
