Unsure of what path she is following, Buffy and Giles go to the desert to confront the spirit of the First Slayer.  Meanwhile, Spike is taking his new Buffy-bot out for a spin.  When Xander and Anya meet up with them, they think its the real Buffy and so do Glory's minions who are looking for the Key.  They determine that Spike must be the Key since Buffy is hanging out with him more.  They capture Spike and the gang are going to get him to keep him from talking when the real Buffy walks in.  When Glory realizes that Spike is not the Key, she tortures Spike, but he doesn't confess who the Key is.
