After destroying an asteroid on a collision course with the moon, Command Koenig discovers a planet on the other side of the radiation cloud - also on a collision course.  While investigating, he is met by a spaceship from the planet telling him that he must "do nothing" in order for them to survive and for the mysterious planet to evolve.  Beset by the personnel on Moonbase Alpha who think he is suffering from radiation poisoning, Koenig attempts to stop them from detonating nuclear bombs to alter the moon's course.
