See Description
Slayers (スレイヤーズ Sureiyazu?) is a series of comedic sword and sorcery anime and manga that began as light novels written by Hajime Kanzaka. They chronicle the adventures of Lina Inverse and her various companions as they journey through the high fantasy world. Some of the novels, of which there are fifteen in the series, have only recently begun to be released in English in North America; 1–6 are currently translated and available through Tokyopop.

These adventures take place in a magical medieval setting. The anime series is organized into cycles starting out humorous, then slowly working towards serious until at the end of the cycle the fate of the world hangs in the balance. But until the very end of each of these cycles, even the most serious moments will usually have a few short moments of comic relief.

Slayers ran for three seasons. The second season goes by the name Slayers Next, and the third season is called Slayers Try. There are also numerous OVAs and movies in which Lina is partnered with the obnoxious and pretentious sorceress Naga; These adventures take place before the events of the three television seasons. The anime Lost Universe takes place in another dimension of the Slayers universe. There are also a few manga series based on the Slayers universe.

The anime series was previously released on VHS and DVD in North America by Software Sculptors. In May 2005, at Anime Central in Chicago, FUNimation Entertainment announced they have obtained the license for the TV series, as the previous owner's license expired in Fall 2005. The OVAs and movies were released in North America by ADV Films. Enoki Films holds the license to The Slayers TV series as a middleman.

Title: Breeze
Lyrics:

(Set me free)
(Gonna be alone, ya got to be free)

takai sora wo  tori ni natte tobitai
haruka tooi  kibou wo mezashite

mioroshitara  chiisa na jibun datte
tada gamushara  ikite'ru darou ka

konna fuu ni ima wo  mitsumeru koto dekiru nara
kizutsuku koto mo naku,  asu mo kowakunai...

kaze ni notte
yume no kanata e  tonde yukitai
yuuki to yuu tsubasa wo tsukete
tori ni natte
miorosu kokoro  mochitsudzuketai
RIARU na hibi ni makenai you...

(Set me free)
(Gonna find my way, 'cuz I wanna be free)

kewashii michi  kemono ga erabu you ni
kagiwaketara  korobu koto mo nai

demo ningen nante  mayowasarete'ru bakari de
kodoku to takakatta  tsuyosa wo motanai

Translation:

Set me free
Gonna be alone, got to be free

I want to turn into a bird and fly the high skies
heading for the distant, far away hope

When I look down and see my tiny self
I wonder if I'm only living recklessly

If only I can keep looking at the present like this
nothing can harm me and I'll have no fear for tomorrow

I want to ride on the wind
and fly to the edges of my dreams
Fastening on my back these wings called courage
I want to turn into a bird
and retain my courage to look down
I will not give in to the reality of passing days

Set me free
Gonna find my way, I'm gonna be free

Like a beast that has to choose between steep paths
I won't fall if I can sniff out the right ones

But because we humans are led astray all the time
we don't have the strength from fighting loneliness

I want to ride on the wind
and go to the edges of dreams
straining these eyes called courage
So that even if I chose roads
steeper than any beast would
I'd still not lose my will not to give up

If only I can spot my tiny self on the ground
nothing can harm me and I'll have no fear for tomorrow

I want to ride on the wind
and fly to the edges of my dreams
Fastening on my back these wings called courage
I want to turn into a bird
and retain my courage to look down
I will not give in to the reality of passing days

Translation:

my excited heart shakes at the unseen tomorrow
I continue on to grab that shining dream
when I got discouraged, I found out people aren't alone
never give up on myself at all times

even if the chosen path is rough and beaten up
beyond that is that moment we sought for

don't you forget that I'm here
please laugh at my cluminess as a part of my sweetness
I don't forget that you're here
we can become stronger through this clumsy love

the wandering wind, there are nights I become uneasy but
time continues and tomorrow will come as usual
those tears shed will someday turn into strenght so
I can't lose to myself that only exists once

the expanding image, I'll become the self I want to be
I don't want any future that follows a manual

don't be afraid, it's okay, our lives
aren't that wasted
I'm not afraid, it's only a hundred years
it's such a waste if we just let it flow by
nagasareteru dake ja mottainai

even if the chosen path is rough and beaten up
beyond that is that moment we sought for

don't be afraid, it's okay, our lives
aren't that wasted
I'm not afraid, it's only a hundred years
it's such a waste if we just let it flow by
nagasareteru dake ja mottainai

don't you forget that I'm here
please laugh at my cluminess as a part of my sweetness
I don't forget that you're here
we can become stronger through this clumsy love
Ending Theme
Title: Somewhere
Notes: Closing these for episode 26.
Lyrics:

Somewhere in the world
Somewhere in the dark
I can hear the voice that calls my name
Might be a memory
Might be my future
Might be a love waiting for me

Rock me gently
Hug me tenderly
'Til the morning breaks, night fades away
I've spent my time in vain
Trapped inside pain
Don't let me down
Help me see the light

Feeling bitter and twisted all along
Wading through an empty life too long
I close my eyes
Listen to the wind
Longing to belong to a higher place

Let me hear your voice
Let me be with you
When the shadow falls down upon me
Like a bird singing
Like a breeze blowing
It's calling me
Somewhere in the world

Feeling bitter and twisted all along
Wading through an empty life too long
I close my eyes
Listen to the wind
Longing to belong to a higher place

Let me hear your voice
Let me be with you
When the shadow falls down upon me
Like a bird singing
Like a breeze blowing
It's calling me
Somewhere in the world

Somewhere in the world...
