| 7 | Anime | The term for Japanese Animated movies and television shows. This term is used in Japan to mean any animated show regardless of country of origin and subject matter. In the US this term means animation from Japan. |
| 8 | Aptic Gate | This is the sord to the Aptic system at which a decisive battle is waged under the command of the Bebaus brothers. The Basroil is a part of the defending fleet here. |

| 16 | AutoReiv | Artificial people created for various reasons. The three classes are Entourage, Companion and Armed. Entourage AutoReivs help out their partners in various tasks. Companion AutoReivs are usually made to replace loved ones but have other purposes as well. Armed AutoReivs are used in police work and other lines of duty calling for force. |

| 24 | Blast Fall | The name given to a disaster that occurred twelve years ago and caused many deaths and many others to go missing. It occurred when the Aurora Shell interacted with a RUC building. |
| 25 | Boomer | A bio-mechanical robot-like creation. These were initially created to facilitate in the reconstruction of Japan after the great earthquake. They have been used since then in almost every field from waiters to underwater exploration, etc. |

| 27 | Browning | Another religion that has been ostracized by Mauser. Aparently Browning is the one that placed the Providence Breaker and Guardian genes into the world. |

| 31 | Chamalla | Chamalla extract are used by oracles for their visions. It also has some medicinal purposes and is sometimes used as an alternative therapy for cancer. |
| 32 | Chevalier | Strong and intelligent beings created by Saya or Diva when humans drink their blood. They can shape shift and regenerate wounds quickly and are almost impossible to kill. |
| 33 | Chiropteran | A vampire like creature that drains their victims of blood. |
| 34 | Cinq Flèches Group | A group dedicated to guarding Diva. |
| 35 | Closed Space | This is an alternate reality that is created whenever Haruhi is troubled in some way. Shinjin appear with closed space and start to destroy things. Closed Space also grows larger if left alone. It's up to The Agency and its espers to stop the Shinjin and remove the Closed Space before it takes over the entire world. |
| 36 | Cogito Virus | A virus that infects AutoReivs and makes them self-aware. The effects of this vary based on the AutoReiv. |

| 38 | Coralian | A physical manifestation of the Scub Coral. There are four types:
- Command Cluster Coralian - A concentration of Scub Coral which can control other aspects of the Sub Coral.
- Kute-class Coralian - A huge sphere of energy in the sky. They are rarely seen in nature but can be caused artificially.
- Antibody Coralian - Creatures that are created by the Scub Coral to remove harmful conditions, including people and their cities.
- Humaniform Coralian - Beings that are created by the Scub Coral in human form. They are thought by researchers to be sent by the Scub Coral to gather information about humanity.

| 45 | Desperation Disease | A condition caused by the combination of Scub Coral, Trapar and Compac Drives. Those suffering from it fixate on a Compac Drive and remain is a near catatonic state. |
| 46 | D-Knight | This is a human controller that is paired with a Dragoon in order to unlock its full potential. The bonding on works well when there is complete trust between the D-Knight and the Dragoon. |
| 47 | Doujinshi | Doujinshi, or doujin for short, are self published comics. There are two basic categories: fan-comics and self-published works. Fan-comics are non-professional stories from fans based on others' work. Self-published works are published by the creator of the comic or the ideas behind them and not through a publishing company. |
| 48 | Dragon Knights | A group formed to protect La'cryma from Shangri'la and to find the Dragon Torque. |

| 50 | Dragoon | These are battle fortresses that were used in an ancient war. They have had psychic human bonded to them in order to make them function to a degree that would work in battle. They can manifest in human form but cannot become fully active without a human controller called a D-Knight. |
