New Mutants

A fill-in issue. Most of this story is a flashback to events that probably occurred between issues #76 and #77 (after Rictor and Boom Boom join the New Mutants, and before they meet Cable, which occurs very soon after returning from Asgard).

While training in the Danger Room, Wolfsbane is frightened by a carnival hologram, which reminds her of when the New Mutants visited Cannonball's family in Kentucky and attended a carnival which was in actuality a group of Skrull slavers.
