New Mutants

Part 1 of 3. This story takes place while the X-Men and other super-hero groups are "missing in action" (see Uncanny X-Men #180 and Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars #1-12).

Magik sends her astral form to the Massachusetts Academy and learns that the White Queen has captured Kitty and brainwashed Doug; the New Mutants learn that Magik is a sorceress; they head off to the rescue, but are met by the White Queen.
