The sub-plot involving Sunspot and Wolfsbane, building upon the events of Marvel Team-Up Annual #6, comes to a head in issues #22-25.

Magma arrives at the school; Kitty and her friend/computer whiz Doug Ramsey gain control over a government-owned Sentinel; Kitty feuds with the New Mutants; Prof. X worries about Sunspot and Wolfsbane; Magma begins to cope with her new responsibilities.
